Georgia Agape, inc. is a non-profit, licensed child placing agency which has been serving Georgia Since 1970, and they are sponsored by the churches of Christ. Their mission is to provide a compassionate outreach to serve the most vulnerable members of our community, abused and neglected children and those experiencing personal crises in their lives.
Georgia Agape provides the following services:
Macland Road church of Christ participates in Georgia Agape's annual Thanksgiving Appeal by holding a special contribution during the Sunday morning worship service following Thanksgiving. We also have members who participate in the Annual Golf Tournament each Spring and the Annual Banquet.
You can find out more information about Georgia Agape by visiting their website at: www.georgiaagape.org
Raintree Village, located in Valdosta, GA, is a licensed child placing agency for basic residential childcare, family foster home care and adoptive services.
Each spring and fall, members of our congregation donate non-perishable food and household items needed by the Children's Home. They have a truck that comes to area congregations to collect the items and the donations are tax-deductible.
They also have an annual Mother's Day Appeal. This appeal is their major fundraising activity. A special collection is taken during our morning worship on Mother's Day and presented to the Children's Home to help fund their work. Please refer to the church events page for dates www.raintreevillage.org.
The Macland Road Ladies Workshop meets every Tuesday. They come together to make Stuffed Bears, Quilted Lap Blankets, and Heart Shaped Mastectomy Pillows.

The Bears, made with love, are given to children who are having surgery and/or tests at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, GA. These Bears help to comfort and cheer up the little ones as they go through a difficult time. They are also given to Hospice Patients in the Hospice Center where adult patients enjoy them as well. They have made well over 11,000 bears.

The Lap Blankets are given to various Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Homes to help bring comfort to the elderly who reside there. These blankets are much desired and appreciated, especially in cold weather.

The Mastectomy Pillows go to cancer patients and women who have had mastectomy for relief and comfort.

The Ladies workshop accepts donations of cotton and cotton blend materials, sheeting, quilt backing, quilt padding and stuffing materials.
Work is underway to create a modern home for children on a beautiful site in northeast Georgia. Visit their website for more information. www.fallingcreekranch.org
